BEE

The BEE (Building Emergency Ecosystems) project aims to reuse wireless infrastructures in emergency indoor scenarios where GSM/4G/5G or other mobile network technologies could not be available. The main idea beyond the BEE project is to use the WiFi technology in order to provide support in emergency communication systems. The terminals are usually task-dedicated terminals (e.g. emergency buttons) or off the shelf terminals with a specific app/software that will reuse the existing WiFi infrastructure in order to achieve a specific task.
